Cerilon Awards GTL Project Agreement to Worley

Cerilon Press Release Template (2)

Cerilon GTL ND Inc. has awarded Worley an agreement for our front-end engineering design (FEED) phase of our gas-to-liquids (GTL) project in North Dakota, USA.

The Cerilon GTL North Dakota facility will convert natural gas to produce a nominal 3,816m3 (24,000 barrels) per day of unique, high-performance synthetic products. Our products include Group III+ base oils, ultra-low sulphur diesel, and naphtha. This will be the first GTL project globally to include carbon capture and sequestration on a commercial scale and will provide production facilities for base oils that are otherwise largely imported. For this project, Worley will adopt a ‘design one, build many’ approach. Worley categorizes this contract as sustainable work in accordance with Worley’s definition of sustainability-related work.

Worley is currently completing the pre-FEED phase for this project. Under the agreement services will be provided for the FEED phase through its offices in Calgary with support from offices around the world, including Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams.

“We look forward to continuing to support Cerilon as they produce lower carbon products and energy, consistent with our purpose of delivering a more sustainable world,” said Chris Ashton, Chief Executive Officer of Worley.
