About Cerilon
Cerilon is a world-class company with experience in developing and operating global multibillion dollar facilities in the energy, petrochemical, and industrial sectors with a goal to deliver sustainable, long-term value within a framework of stakeholders, community and the environment. Its subsidiary, ND Ventures, works with key stakeholders to provide critical integrated project execution through a team of about 40 people (employees and consultants) across the world.
In 2021, the State of North Dakota expressed its strong interest and support (including initial financial support) for Cerilon to develop a major gas-to-liquids (GTL) complex in Trenton ND, with the initial phase estimated at $3 billion. The North Dakota Development Fund Board and the Clean Sustainable Energy Authority have specifically approved initial developmental capital to Cerilon for the GTL complex, with further financial support anticipated. The GTL state-of-the-art GTL facility will be the lowest carbon footprint facility of its kind in the world, and supports North Dakota’s strategy to diversify the energy industry and support clean, environmentally responsible energy development. The primary outputs of the Phase 1 GTL facility will consist of 24,000 barrels per day of ultra-low sulfur diesel and other specialty products. Additional phases and locations for future GTL facilities are also anticipated.
In Spring 2022, Cerilon also signed an agreement with the MD of Greenview to acquire about 200 acres of land in the Greenview Industrial Gateway. On this site, in the future Cerilon plans to build a GTL facility that will manufacture ultra-low sulphur diesel and jet fuel.
The executive team at Cerilon consists of generalists who have built, operated and dismantled large facilities in energy and other industrial sectors. With this pragmatic operational perspective, the proprietary project management methodology that Cerilon uses is both unique and holistic in its
approach. The executive team also brings expertise leveraging proven technology and operational know- how from successful GTL projects in South Africa and around the world.
